• Start with teaching the child 2 words a day.
  • Say the sound of the word to the child and ask them to say it back. (Repeat this process until they get it and then move unto the next word.)
  • Ask the child to say the w sound of the word by looking at the sound.
  • For the next day go through the practice the previous days words.
  • Take 3 day breaks in batches where you do not add any more words and you go through all the words learnt so far.
  • It best to do this everyday or every other day.
  • Practice makes perfect. The more they practice the better they get and they start to use their phonics to remember the words.
